Living/Working in Singapore Feedback or advise (Athens)

Hello, I have been presented with an opportunity to work in IBM Singapore. However, we are still in the negotiating phase. They want to know if I am serious to move before they can make me an offer. On the other hand, I would like to know what they're offering prior accepting the position. So, it's the chicken and egg discussion. Anyone from this community lived/worked in Singapore? Are there expat Greek or American communities? I have a six year old son and he comes first. So, I need to explore public or private education (in English), quality/cost of life, etc. If you have any information, please share with me.
