Visiting Athens: 4 days in November

My husband Mitch and I are celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary with a 3 week tour of the Greek Isles, Cyprus, Turkey, Israel, and Egypt. We arrive in Athens at the end of our tour, in the early morning of Sunday 08 November (our actual anniversary) and are staying in Athens for 4 days before returning home to California. We are staying in the Plaka District at The Plaka Hotel. We plan to visit the Acropolis, of course, and the new National Museum. We're interested in both ancient and current culture. We have never been to Greece. Our only language is English. We're not nightclubbers, but enjoy a nice evening out. I'm hoping the Athens Community can help guide our brief visit with tips and suggestions about what to do and see during the time we have available - sightseeing, good restaurants for lunch or dinner, local customs (e.g., tipping, taxis, what to wear), weather that time of year, things to avoid, etc. Any and all replies are greatly appreciated! Thanks, Helen
