Just moved to Atlanta

Hi guys,

I just arrived in Atlanta (as in "yesterday") and I am looking for other expats in the Atlanta area to connect to; in particular I am looking for (but not limited to) Germans, people interested in photography and fine arts, and people that know the Atlanta nightlife well (bars, clubs, etc.)

Let me briefly introduce myself. I am a professor for optimization and industrial engineering in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. To make this a bit more precise, I optimize things. This includes optimal dispatching and scheduling of production facilities, routing, network design, optimal control, and optimal pricing of products. Typical industries I am working with include automotive, energy, heavy industry (e.g., steel and petro), and telecommunication.
Before I came to the US I was a professor in Erlangen, Germany after having been at MIT and lived in Dubai (which is where I got in touch with internations the first time)
