Getting involved in Motorsports? (Auckland)

Is anyone on InterNations whether local or expat involved in any sort of motorsports in New Zealand?

I asked because for the first time in my life I was able to get some great hands on experience in Singapore volunteering as a race official for the F1 Singapore GP.

I have already signed up for the Australia GP next year, fingers crossed they accept, but its my understanding the same outfit: CAMS runs events in New Zealand as well. Not to mention a number of WRC and Motorcycle events.

Its a shame I'm missing the famous Targa race in NZ happening now, but I won't arrive Auckland until middle of November. Nevertheless I'd like to get involved with what I can. Specifically volunteering for events as a race official, etc.

Any suggestions?
