Moving to Auckland

Hi All..

I am an Indian national, planning to move to Auckland end of this month . I am a Civil Engineer by profession and certified by IPENZ as well. I am a Project Manager seeking job opportunities within the new build / fit out sectors .

I have a daughter 11 yrs old and son 5.6 yrs old but they will move in a year later .

I would like to seek advise on the education system , how good it is ? Which are some of the good public schools ? how easy is it for the children to settle into these schools ? I am told that the education is less pressurised ? besides which suburbs are safe and good to live in which are closer to these schools ?

I have spent 7 months in Christchurch but did not enjoy it much there . Auckland is more city like and has much to offer in terms of lifestyle and thus keen to shift .
