Moving to Auckland!

Hi All!

I just bought a one-way ticket to Auckland and got a year long work/holiday visa! I am an avid traveler and love InterNations! I even became an Ambassador for the Portland, OR community. My questions are:

-What sort of material possessions should I bring that are either hard to find or expensive?
-What city do you recommend living in? I am quiet open to where I land:)
-What kind of work should I expect to get?
