It was good to meet you all last night and thank you Susan for organising it!
Any of Susan's proposed dates are currently OK with me. I prefer something active like a walk, so Rangitoto is my favourite.
If anyone wants to do something a little more strenuous I often go for for a day or half day walk on Saturday or Sunday, usually Waitakere or Hunua ranges. I also want to do a couple of other walks soon, the pinnacles in Corromandel ranges and a walk up Mt Te Aroha. The Pinnacles is a 5 hour tramp up then an overnight stay in the hut at the top which sleeps about 80 people and is supposed to be a great experience. Mt Te Aroha is about 5 hours return, about 900m high. At the bottom of the hill is an open air spa pool. Drop me a line directly at Protected content if you're interested in joining me. I usually don't make a decision to where I go until a couple of days before to make sure the weather is likely to be good.
