From London to Baku

Hi!
I am hoping to move to Baku with my husband in September. I once spent 36 hours there a few years ago but know little of the city other than what I can find in the web.

What does it 'feel' like in comparison to London? Which is the best, prettiest, most central area to live in? What should I know about WiFi/ internet and mobile phone reception? What type of clothes should I take? Are there plenty of yoga/pilates practice options? How will I cope without a Nespresso outlet ;)? How do I best meet people and make new friends, general, Azeri, international, English, German? What should I absolutely know before I arrive? Are there any specific items I ought to bring with me?
