introduction (Balearic Islands)

hello i am new to the forum ..i am after advice in buying or renting a property in spain..we are both scottish but have been living in turkey for around 5 years..things here are getting difficult for expats ..eg,cost of living,being more or less forced into the medical system ..lalso limited shopping ,it being a muslim state ..pork bacon, etc not allowed to work ..residence permits ..it has just got out of hand .so we have decided to move to spain but will still keep our property in turkey as we have loads of friends here ..i don,t really want to buy /rent to close to holiday resorts ,but with in driving distance would be good ,fairly close to beach ..thankyou in adavance for any advice/feedback ..cheers John..
