Expereince with luggage getting lost? (Bali)

I just arrived to Bali and all my things that I took with me for next several months, are now lost in Singapore.

Does anyone have any experience with that kind of situation here? What I've read and hear, it's not looking good. If it doesn't turn up on the next day, it will probably not turn up.

If you have experience with handling such a situation then advice is welcome.
