Few questions about life in Bali

Hi,

I'm thinking about moving to Bali for Protected content (maybe longer, but I wanna check it out first for Protected content , been researching a lot already, but I'd love to hear your experiences.

I have my own company so I can work from wherever I want as long as I have internet. I love scuba diving, so I guess Bali is a pretty good place for me. Here are my questions:

1) Is there a big expat community in Bali? If so, where are most people based?

2) Where would you recommend to live? Important to me are proximity to the ocean (hence good scuba diving), not in the middle of the city center (too loud etc.), but still close enough to the expat community, nice bars, restaurants etc.

3) How much money should I calculate to live per month? I'd like to live in a nice apartment or small house by myself, doesn't have to be luxury but still more or less on a Western level (hot showers etc.). I'm not a huge spender but I like going to restaurants, have a cocktail in a bar sometimes etc.

4) What do you like about life in Bali and what do you dislike?
