house water filtering systems... (Bali)

we moved to bali in january. we found a yearly rental and move in on friday. im wanting to arrange a water filtering system. we had a monthly rental and they had it set up so that all the water coming into the villa was filtered so we didnt have to worry about drinking a little in the shower by accident and we could safely brush our teeth in it and use it for cooking. the filter wouldnt be attached to the actual taps but to the main water supply coming into the villa if that makes sense? they said it cost them around $500 but they are unable to tell us the name of the company who installed it. has anyone done this? if so, can you recommend a company and tell us how you found the service? also the quality of the product offered? thanks in advance!
