Water Sanitation Issue (Bali)

Hi, can anyone PLEASE suggest any fixes...We noticed yesterday that our tap water smells like sewage (not sulfur). We live in Pemogan and don't know how to remedy this situation. Our landlord is non-responsive and we don't know who to contact. We certainly don't drink the water, but I am concerned about bathing and washing dishes. We would be most appreciative of any help!
