considering moving to Bamako, insights needed!

Hi,
I am considering a 3-yr job in Bamako. I am Canadian and have a same sex partner (we are two women) and have two small children, aged 3 and 5. Can anyone tell me if this sort of a situation would be acceptable in Bamako? I have done short time in Ghana, but travelled there with a project without my family. I understand that not all places are gay-friendly...we are not demonstrative, but our kids very clearly view us both as Mommy. I could see that as a single person, I would jump at the job and the place in a heartbeat, but I am worried that I might be putting my family at risk, or perhaps exposing them to negative feedback in some way. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
