Moving to Mali (Bamako)

Hello All,
I will be moving to Mali in the very near future. I was wondering what equipment (furniture, Electronics, dried food stuffs and other paraphernalia) that I should bring from abroad. What is hard to get there?
As well, does anyone know of rules/regs on bringing my dog?
