Advice on moving to Bangalore

Hi everyone,

I was hoping to get in touch with an expat that has moved from the UK to Bangalore.
My husband has an offer to work in Bangalore for a year, we will be given a gated community.

What I want to know is:

1. How is it living in a gated community in Bangalore? is there always electricity, or do you have times when it cuts? and if there is an electricity cut, do you have access to a generator?

2. How is it living there with children? is it safe for a baby of about 5-6months?

3. Are there regular toddler groups, libraries, activities for kids?

4. How would you rate the health care available there?

5. Does anyone have any pictures of the gated communities there?

Having these questions answered would be a great help as we want to plan our family/future.
