Three great musicians from three different countries

SAIYUKI is the Japanese name for the « Journey to the West », the renowned Chinese novel written in the 16th century by Wu Cheng'en, Saiyuki is a musical landscape where three different identities have so much to share & to learn together.
Each Saiyuki musician is blessed with a double culture, representing both tradition and modernity. Each one is a maestro. The three artistes are also connoisseurs of styles & techniques of today’s music, curious about new meetings & open to the possibilities that the world of music can offer.

Guitarist Nguyên Lê, born in Paris to Vietnamese parents was unanimously awarded the guitar "Django d'Or" in Protected content . His album «Purple, Celebrating Jimi Hendrix» has sold more than Protected content the world. Improvisation, this understanding & spontaneous musical creation, he feels, drives away the limits of cultural encounters.

Prabhu Edouard is one of the few Tabla specialists in Europe. He was born in Protected content Trichy (India) & has lived in France since Protected content . He also plays with the divine Hindustani flutist Hariprasad Chaurasia.

Mieko Miyazaki started learning the Koto at 9. She learned Koto & Shamisen at the famous Tokyo National University for Arts & Music. While still a student, she performed for the Emperor & the Empress of Japan.
