Goa resorts (Bangalore)

Hi there
We're looking for a family-friendly holiday resort in Goa. From what I've read so far, it seems the south might be where we should be heading. We would like a good standard hotel/resort, with pool, kids facilities etc, close to beach and other attractions, that won't break the bank!.......too much to ask? Please let me know if you can recommend anywhere for us to check out.
