Toxic Lakes/Drinking Water & Effect on Daily Life? (Bangalore)

Hi all! I am hoping you can give me a candid, helpful perspective on the issue of methane burning in toxic lakes and the possible threat of running out of drinking water in BLR. I've seen recent articles regarding the dire situation of trash/methane/chemical foam/fires in the lakes around the city, especially Bellandur. I've also seen statements from experts claiming that parts of Bangalore will have to be evacuated because of the lack of drinking water within the next decade. My husband and I are about to make serious decisions about moving our lives there and raising a family, but this aspect is very concerning to me. Could you tell me if you/residents there are concerned and if it affects daily life in certain parts of the city? Thank you so much!!!
