What kind of music does America like listening to (Bangalore)

Hi guys a friend of mine here in Ireland is moving to America to start a career in the music industry in America . I'm just helping him do a general survey on what kind of music do Americans love listening to best . It would be great if I could get feedback from the American ex pat community in Bangalore as well . Please name the category of music you like listening to most . Eg .
