Looking for some advice, especially from anyone with professional real estate experience.
My partner and I are struggling with an abusive landlord. We handed back the keys to the unit in early October with the apartment in nearly immaculate condition. The agent for the landlord of this upscale apartment has now come up with a near-mythical list of damages and is insisting on keeping about US$1,000 for 'repairs'
I've suggested we'll seek legal counsel and a quote from an independent contractor, which we will, though I'm unsure of what ground we stand on according to Thai law.
Can anyone provide me advice on this? Best course of action?
