I am heavily involved on a volunteer basis with SCAD (Soi cats and dogs) Society here in Bangkok.
We cannot stay at our current home on Sukhumvit 71 due to complaints from neighbors - despite many emergency measures taken, it wasn't enough. We have also had to drastically reduce the number of animals we can admit for treatment, sterilization and vaccination.
We have no choice but to move - we have considered every option to not do so, but a move is necessary. This is a good thing long-term as it will give us more room for more animals in need. However, this situation presents us with a desperate cash problem.
For example, equipment for the new premises must be bought. The stainless steel operating table, pre- and post-op tables, autoclave to sterilize equipment, cupboards for storage of medicines and supplies will cost around US$6, Protected content 200,000). Although this is a bargain in US terms, it is a lot for a small charity like us.
Is this something the InterNations Team in Bangkok would consider helping me with, either by a small personal donation from any dog or cat loving members or a tax deductible business donation from an employer?
