On the webpage of the Thai Consulate in Vancouver, it is stated that there is a visa fee exemption for all foreigners who apply for a Thailand tourist visa. This exemption has been in effect since May, Protected content , and will run until the end of March of this year. This supposedly includes Visas on Arrival, and multiple-entry visas, as long as you can show a copy of a travel itinerary indicating how many times you will be leaving and coming back to Thailand. In other words, visas for a stay longer than 30 days are currently free.
I'm just wondering if anyone has taken advantage of this. Is this information accurate? I haven't seen it posted anywhere else (but have only done a brief search).
