Information about pregnancy and termination (Bangkok)

Hi. I am working on a project about access to services for women in SE Asia, and the availability of information about those services.

I have read from various different sources that women can access abortions legally in Thailand at a range of providers. I found some sources stating that within the last year termination has become legal, even when it's not for reasons of health/wellbeing of the mother (ie: in cases of unwanted or unexpected pregnancy), but other information still claims they are illegal.

A lot of information is outdated and the providers I have contacted haven't been very forthcoming by email (I am not currently in Thailand).

Can anyone advise further about this, as well as how widely available they are performed (eg: in Chiang Mai or anywhere in the south)? Your information is appreciated.
