Looking for local initiatives in need (Bangkok)

Dear Fellow Members,

I work for an NGO in Chiang Mai and we are currently on the lookout for small community based initiatives in Thailand that empower local people to live independent lives. I am hoping you can share your ideas and suggestions on local initiatives that need support in Thailand.

Here is some information on us:

Philanthropy Connections Foundation (PCF) is a specialised non-profit organisation formed to support people in vulnerable situations through social upliftment initiatives. The inspiration behind PCF and what the team is committed to simply put is, “Helping people, because we can.” We support fields such as education, health care, child care, emergency aid or whatever the need is in Thailand, Cambodia and Burma.

We are able to take on this flexible approach because we work in partnership with local community organisations that know the issues and needs within their communities but lack resources of various kinds. Together with these local organisations, PCF supports existing and new projects in diverse fields that are being driven by people with the necessary skills, who speak the language and understand the culture.

Before we start supporting a project we complete a thorough analysis, called a due diligence process, to check if our criteria are met. Once a project proves to meet our criteria, we discuss how we can support their needs and research solutions involving the community.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Best
