protests in bangkok (Bangkok)

Hi,

I plan to arrive in Bangkok in Jan with my family. naturally I am reading about the demos and current political situation in Bangkok at the moment. Despite people telling me Bangkok is mostly business as usual and that the area we will be living in (Sukhumvit Protected content not affected, I am still a bit nervous.

I also see there is not much talk about it on hear, so is it safe to go about daily life as normal in this area of Bangkok at the moment? Or are we going to have stay in our condo for a month or two when we arrive until the situation is resolved? (if it ever will be)
