I'm thinking of launching a cake business online targeting at people who wants to eat cakes with substance and value and one that does not use palm fat and artificial butter. I will use all locally sourced where possible and organic ingredients. If this takes off then I am thinking of launching a sustainable bakery but before going any further I wonder whether my prime target is the expats community as my cakes are not chiffon based and full of air. It's rather like UK deli cakes. I bake a variety of cakes and buns: Cakes: carrot, cashew nut with cream cheese topping, beetroot chocolate with chocolate fudge topping, coconut cake with coconut mouse topping and pumpkin cake with coconut custard topping, pineapple upside down Buns: English ice bun, cinnamon roll and not your Cinnie Cinnamon kind, Chelsea buns Bread: banana bread, pumpkin bread So if this type of bakery exists online or on a stand somewhere convenient, will you buy?
