Drivers License (Barcelona)

Hello All,

I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the process of obtaining a drivers license. I've read that once my residency has been established my International driver's license will be void. My question really pertains to whether I'm required to attend driving school before taking the driving exam or if I can take the exam and be done with it? I've been driving in the U.S for 20 years and about 4 years here in Spain (if that even maters). Any idea if they have an English version of the test? Any information on requirements or fees associated with getting my license would be greatly appreciated.
