I was just accepted to a masters program in Barcelona. Great news! One week later my acceptance was rescinded due to an objection from a partner university in another European country. The objection was that I did not have the required undergraduate degree. I had addressed this explicitly in my mission statement letter to the school.
Everybody I know if academics here in the USA was shocked and had never heard of something like this. I'm from The United States by the way. Has anybody heard of this in European academia? Particularly Southern Europe?
Would any body have any advice on how I can petition my way back in to the program?
If anybody has any thoughts I really appreciate it. Thanks,
