SANTA MARÍA DEL MAR TOUR (Barcelona)

I would like to share a visit to Santa Maria del Mar that will take place this thursday. It is organized by CityLink International.

If you would like to visit the Santa Maria del Mar church, and dive further into its Middle Age history as Mercedes Castelló, historian and one the best tourist guides in Barcelona, tells us how and why one of most beautiful Catalan Gothic churches was built, we invite you to join us for this event.

The visit will take place Thursday, the 20th of June, at 18:45h. We will meet at the stairs of the church’s main door (plaza Santa Maria).

And at your suggestion, after the visit and for those who want to continue, we will go on to have a glass of wine.

The event is free.

Mercedes Castelló has a degree in Geography and History, and specializes in Art History. She is an official guide of Catalonia, and has spent years guiding groups on tourist tracks around the city of Barcelona. Besides conventional routes, she organizes her own paths around the city focusing on Stories and Legends of the Gothic quarter, the Plazas of Gracia and the Mansions of Horta between others.
