Basel Gladiators - American Football

The Basel Gladiators American Football Club starts the new season next month. Our home game schedule is:

Sunday 02 April – LUCAF (Lausanne University), Stadion Rankhoff. Junior team (Under Protected content at 11:00, Senior team kick-off at 14:00

Saturday 15 April – Winterthur Warriors, Stadion Rankhoff, Junior team (Under Protected content at 15:00, Senior team kick-off at 18:00

Sunday 07 May – Geneva Seahawks, St Jakob Sportfeld (Athletics field behind the parking structure), Junior team (Under Protected content at 11:00, Senior team kick-off at 14:00

Sunday 21 May – Bern Grizzlies, Station Rankhoff, Junior team (Under Protected content at 11:00, Senior team kick-off at 14:00

Sunday 11 June – Calanda Broncos, St Jakob Sportfeld, Junior team (Under Protected content at 11:00, Senior team kick-off at 14:00

The Gladiators are in the top division in Switzerland and the standard of football is comparable to NCAA Division 2. We hire in American players at key positions such as Quarter Back and Free Safety. Apart from our imported players all the guys are local.

The highlight games are Bern, current Swiss Champions and Calanda our big rivals. Calanda games get a bit feisty sometimes ;-)
