I am planning to go for Xmas in Aletsch Protected content . The hotel make a good deal during this time as Protected content (2 persons 4 nights). It is possible to get there by train.

One of these places, greatly loved by the Swiss, is the mountain ski resort of Aletsch, located in the sunny Valais Canton, approximately 50 km south from the centre of Switzerland. Of special note in the attraction of the place is given by the biggest glacier in Europe – the Aletsch. The resort is characterized by the abundance of snow, plenty of sunny days, wide downhill skiing pistes, the absence of queues at the cable-cars (during the week days) and the welcoming attitude towards tourists.
