Cell Phone, Health Insurance, Housing Questions (Beijing)

Hello,
My husband and I will be moving to Beijing soon from Arizona! I'm wondering if we take our current cell phones and get new sim cards and cell phone plan there or other and the costs to have a plan there?

I will be getting insurance through work, but my husband will not be covered, so what are the options for insurance for him and costs? Are general prescriptions comparable in cost?

I keep reading that we should wait to get housing until we get there because pictures online are not accurate. I've also read that many complexes require one month security deposit plus three months rent in advance, is this true?
