Culture question (Beijing)

Hello,
I am working on a cultural project and would like to ask about a contested point. This is something the internet hasn't solidly answered for me, so I hope you can.
There is conflicting information about whether the "bow" is still used in China in greetings, etc. Generally it appears not to be, but then I run across one or two points that says "maybe."
Can anyone provide insight?
