Day trip from BJ (Beijing)

Hi Guys,

I just arrived in Beijing and I start to look for day trips I can do from Beijing. The idea is to get out of this crazy city for 1 day to some quieter and nice place to have some break in the week-ends.

You can go to the Great Wall 1 day but for the rest...

Do you have any suggestion / ideas ?

Thanks also for telling how you get easily in your nice village/town ...
