How do people find their partners? (Beijing)

Maybe you think this question is quite naive and silly, but I really want to ask how people find their boyfriends and girlfriends in daily life.

I'm above average looking (Many people think I'm very cute actually), smart, well-educated, independent, have an attractive personality, but why it's still hard for me to find a boyfriend in Beijing? Is it because I'm too busy with my work and don't have many chances to know new people?

Just wondering...
