Import of Pet Dogs into BJ (Beijing)

I'm planning to import my dogs to BJ. Does anyone know if there are any application procedures and charges here? I've checked the ones applicable in the home country. I'm told by a pet hospital that I don't need anything other than satisfying the requirements in the home country. Would be pleased if I could get some advice. Thanks a lot.
