iPhone apps (Beijing)

Can anyone out there share some apps I should download for my iPhone to help me survive in Beijing. I saw one where you can draw the chinese symbol (word) on the iPhone screen and it gives you a list of possible words that it could be, depending on your drawing ability; I heard there is one where you can take a picture of something in Chinese and it automatically translates that into english. I don't know what either one of those apps are called and so I am looking for the names and any other apps that people have found helpful for living in Beijing. Thanks in advance for your help.
