Kids Names (Beijing)

In case some of you did'nt know we are having a son sometime into the new year,but on a light-hearted note we have a name dilemma.
We have decided his current temporary name of "Gong Bao Ji Ding" may not strengthen his social integration and certainly not really appropriate for when he goes to school, so the toss up is between "Eli" and "Max".
A democratic poll of votes will decide the winner and save the poor child from being known as a famous Chinese chicken dish :)
