LIVING IN CHANGCHUNG (Beijing)

Hi,

like many others posting here before me, I have been offered a position in Changchun and I am trying to get an idea of the city before accepting the offer.

I am aware of the freezing temperatures of winter so that I have a handle on and think I am willing to brave (I say that now though).

What I would love feedback on is the following if anyone is able to assist:-

- general cost of living. how expensive or cheap is living? Part of my contract should I accept offers an apartment so it would be everything else I need to worry about.

- gyms and fitness. I love going to the gym so it would be amazing to know there are some good gyms or sports to join.

- how easy or hard is it to travel to other destinations for holidays?

any help would be amazing, I only have 3 days to respond to my job offer!! thanks :)
