This leader also owns overall China platform Customer Experience, Availability, and Latency. He/She has to be able to provide direction and leadership and drive solutions for Customer problems across technical and business organizations. He or she will directly manage multiple teams of software development managers and engineers across Web Services, User Experience (UI/UX), and Android development to deliver local Appstore apps and experiences for China. This leader will also be deeply involved with, and shall lead, recruiting and hiring efforts to build up our local engineering team in China.
Basic Qualifications This ideal candidate for this critical leadership role is expected to have demonstrated the following: Experience hiring and developing large engineering teams, specifically teams focused on large-scale consumer-facing web sites and services Proven success in delivering large-scale technology systems Proven product development experience in consumer-focused companies Development experience in OOP, Java, UNIX, Perl, C++, XML, Web services, and UNIX tools Hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience Ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities
