Moving a pet to Beijing

Hi all,
We will be moving in February to Beijing and are looking at how to take our Labrador with us. It seems there is a 30-day quarantine period - any idea if and how this can be avoided? Our dog is already not exactly young and already has a very long trip to deal with to get there...
Would appreciate if any of you could share your experiences.
