Moving soon to Tienjin lots of questions (Beijing)

Hi all,
My husband and I are moving to Tienjin, he will be teaching high school with Maple Leaf schools. I will be getting used to the huge transition before I look for work, possibly with Maple Leaf as well. We would love to meet some folks before so we could get together once we are there and have friends and just people to help us adjust. We also both love theater and it has been a big part of our lives here in the states. Is there theater or a drama program that we might be able to be involved with. We also sing mostly musical theater and jazz so wondered if there was an outlet of some kind for us to pursue. We haven't traveled much so this is a huge change but we are eager to assimilate and learn the culture. Well any encouragement helps. Thanks all
