Moving to Beijing...must bring items?

Hi Everyone,

I've just accepted a contract to work in Beijing at an international school in what I hear is the down town area of the city. While I've lived in SE Asia for a long time, China is very differrent and I am wanting a few tips on items that are 'must bring' items.

I will be leaving as soon as, my vsa comes through so should be in the city by early Feb.
