New to Beijing

Hey groupies, I'm Vivian and I'll be arriving in Beijing on April 1, got any tips as where shall I start?

Okay, a little information about me. Though I am Chinese, I was born in Shanghai, I left China when I was 7. But luckily I am fluent in Mandarin and can read, write and speak Chinese no problem. The last 10 years I was in the US, mostly in DC and then New York City. Before that I was everywhere that my parents took me to, they were deputy trade representatives who worked for the China Ministry of Commerce overseas.

That said, I do have decent knowledge of modern China, mostly in an economic development perspective. What I don't know much of is the social scenes and that matters much to me as a professional marketer who's into social media and web-based applications development.

So if there's any of you out there wants to show me the town, meet up for coffee, tea, beer, just drop me a line. I really am excited for Beijing and I look forward to meeting you.
