The company I am working for is setting up a Chinese entity and part of the process involves setting up a corporate bank account. I have been told that setting up the corporate bank account is a complicated task - selecting and creating bank accounts, collecting signatures on bank documents, and usually involves additional efforts from management. Has anyone had experience with this who can share tips on it? Eg. which banks are easier to work with on this, is it possible to set it up ourselves with the bank or do we need an advisor to do it correctly (I have been quoted RMB 3,000 per bank account from one advisor but not sure if this is reasonable), typically how long does the process take.
