I'm sorry if this type of post has been brought up quite a bit on this website. I am currently an investment/real estate analyst in the US. I have been studying Mandarin everyday for a little over a year and would like to move my career over to China sometime this year. However, I am unsure how to approach this.
I understand making connections (and not just shooting my resume to various employers) is a major first step in landing a job in China. That makes me think that quitting my job, teaching in China and making connections while I am over there would be the best route. I have been applying to jobs I have seen, but I feel like this may be a dead end given cultural differences.
Any thoughts or experiences from foreigners who have decided to move their careers over to China would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
