Shunyi District (Beijing)

Hi All,

I will be moving to Beijing in July and will be working in Shunyi.

I have heard that it is best to live near to where you work to avoid long commutes etc. and so I am wondering if anyone lives or knows of the area quite well that can give me some info?

I would like to know what are the best areas in, or in easy commute (by subway, line Protected content Shunyi.
I am a single person, so would like to be somewhere that is not too quiet and has amenities close by like gyms, restaurants, shops. Also if anyone can give me an idea of rental rates for that area, for a studio/1 bed apartment?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
