Things to do over the New Years (Beijing)

Hello!

I am new to InterNations / Beijing so I am trying to find things to do over the New Years celebrations, as I have heard from multiple people that "everything closes".

Is there a parade to attend? Are there any events at any bars / clubs? What is there to actually do here during that time?

I plan to attend a couple InterNations events this month, but if anyone would like to grab a bite to eat, see a movie, or go find a place to grab a drink, feel free to add my Wechat- Protected content text my cell Protected content .

Speaking of which, there is Trivia at Tim's Texas BBQ in Guomao tomorrow night, Trivia Wednesday at Paddy's, and Beer Pong Thursday in Wudaokao at Sugar Shack if anyone is interested!
