Visa Question (Beijing)

Hey guys, maybe you worldly types can give me a bit of advice.

I'm applying for my visa right now (Business, 'F'), and question 2.5 wants a detailed list of where I'm staying and my contact information. Only thing is, I'm not quite sure where I'm staying yet, and I definitely don't have a phone number. If I were to leave this blank, will that torpedo my whole application? I have my invitation letter, and a contact person, but no residence.

Is this question a mute point since I'll be registering with the police when I arrive anyway?
